A lot of 2 antique 19^th c nail hiders, or 'cache clou' as they are called in the country of their origin, France: a copper element with a loop at the back through which the cord of a painting can be passed to hide the nail where it is hanging on. It can also be put directly on the nail. The brass can be polished bright if you want to, some like the patina of time. In good condition, minor signs of age, dimensions 10 x 14 cm., 3.94 x 5.5".
